My Hopkins Story
I was not born a Hopkins. There. I said it. The Hopkins family has been an intriguing family to research and since I was very close to my Grandma Hopkins, it is the family line I have the most information about. So, for more than 20 years, I researched on my own, then came the age of the Internet. What a wonderful find to discover a cousin in Michigan. Her Grandma and my Great Grandpa were siblings. She had many photos of my family I had never seen, including the ones in this scrapbook layout to the left. What a JOY to connect with her, not only because of the photographs and information she had to offer, but because Sandy herself is a delight! Since that time, I have connected with other family members because of another blog I began and abandoned years ago - Our Hopkins Heritage. Now, through a Facebook friend, I discovered weebly. And so begins another adventure, both in blogging and genealogy.
It is my goal to produce a digital scrapbook that is packed with photos, charts and interesting information on our family, so that the younger generations can know what an amazing and rich heritage that they have. And as time marches on, it is crucial to preserve the data, photographs and ephemera before they or their owners pass on.
Welcome to the Hopkins Family History blog! I will be adding more as I can and hope to have input from all of you and also find new relatives as we go along.
